For Emily, Whenever I May Find Her - Simon & Garfunkel
What a dream I had
Pressed in organdy
Clothed in crinoline
Of smoky burgundy
Softer than the rain
I wandered empty streets down
Past the shop displays
I heard cathedral bells
Dripping down the alleyways
As I walked on
And when you ran to me, your
Cheeks flushed with the night
We walked on frosted fields
Of juniper and lamplight
I held your hand
And when I awoke
And felt you warm and near
I kissed your honey hair
With my grateful tears
Oh, I love you girl
Oh, I love you

I am certainly curious as to what your perception of love is.
Because you sure don’t make me feel like it.
This is my favourite song on City and Colour’s new record, The Hurry And The Harm.

Every once in a while comes a cover that surpasses the original song. Not in content since it is always the same but in delivery I say. Jack White’s sorrowful vocals and the hoarse guitar give this track the painful feeling that U2’s original lyrics truly deserve.
